Jubilee

So I'm trolling around downtown this weekend and these guys were playing a free concert. I thought they were pretty good and they were non-profit band. Half their proceeds go to a charitable organization and the other half... band expenses? Anyway, feel free to check them out. What I also thought was pretty amazing was that their drummer was born with some physical deformities in his arms, hands, torso, and legs, yet he's pretty good. I had a lot of respect and appreciation that he was able to overcome that and be able to do what he loves. Hope you enjoy.

I like their sound and their philosophy. I also got a kick out of their promotional video clip... "I like the Monster Truck part." Anyway, thanks for mentioning them! I'll definitely buy this album when I get a chance.

P.S.-I'm glad Seattle is such a great fit for you! My sister just got a job out there. You guys should meet up sometime.

OK, I bought the album... and I love it. At first I was a bit worried because the religiosity of it seems too expressive and I'm not a big fan of people pushing their beliefs on others, but I think they reached a nice mix of melancholy, profundity, and grace to avoid being pigeon-holed by their beliefs. In other words, thanks again for sharing the link... Jubilee rocks! Everyone else check it out... now!
