English grad students are hot

So, I met a bunch of fellow English grad students today and some other people from the department. The secretary made a point to inquire about my relationship status, and she said there are plenty of singles in the department - and plenty of married people who like to have fun outside of marriage (*wink wink*) - and that many of them have couches if I ever need to crash instead of commuting.

Then I remembered why I loved being an English major in college... there's such a high percentage of women in the field and they're all obsessed with sexuality, sensuality, romanticism, and eroticism. This is going to be hot.

Too bad you're gay.

My high school students are starting to wear off on me...

I want to go back to college... there's like ... NO single youngish women in the model railroad industry.

Just tons of old people.

I've promised myself that I'll quit this job by the end of may.

Waple- You know how I know you're gay? You let high school students wear off on you. (I hope you get the "40-Year-Old Virgin" reference... I watched that movie last night again, and that whole segment was pretty funny. "You know how I know you're gay? You listen to Coldplay.")

Mike- Quit that job! Are you making plans? Let me know if I can be of any assistance. Yeah, and being back on a college campus was nice... I think being a grad student is a good place to be in that sense: You're old enough to be an authority figure but not so old that you can't party like other students.

I'd just want to be old enough that I could appear mysterious and appealing, but not creepy and aged.

Then again, when people guess my age, most people automatically put my at 30+, so I'm pretty much screwed. BAH!
