Waple's Hot Beef Express featuring The Spunky Dunkers

One of my favorite things about music is how whenever I listen to any one album, especially one that's new to me, for a extended period of time, I will associate that music with that time period in my life for a long time afterward. Examples: Most of the Beatles' "Past Masters" album I associate with a vacation my family took when I was in like 4th grade in the summer in NM and CO. The tape my dad made me was mostly that. Every time I hear Common's "Be," I think of the summer after I graduated and visited IU in August. I stayed at John's, he played it for me and I loved it. Then I listened to it a lot when I was in Mexico, so I think of the times I would walk to work listening to it. Brad made me a cd of Murs' "3:16" and I listened to that a lot one summer, especially while mowing the lawn and at the gym. I just think it's fun that the music has more feeling in its unique way to me. It also amazes me how much time has passed since then.

Plus, I was checking the blog and had to post.

I'm looking forward to your party, Thom. Also, I wish it was like 70 degrees outside. And I wish there were more people who wanted to go to Miami with me in late March. It's looking like I probably won't go. Oh well.

I know what you're saying! Most of my albums remind me of relationships, though, and that can sometimes be a bit too intense...

The party is going to be great. I wish it were nice outside too. I'm hoping it'll get nice soon, but I doubt it...

I heard from Kelly that you were sick, eh? Sorry to hear that. She also mentioned you had delusions of grandeur about a beer pong table? As great of an idea as I think that is, it's a terrible idea. I told her to convince you, but since I'm here I might as well put in my two cents:
1) it'll take up too much space, unless you put it on your vista (patio? deck? porch? what's that called?) and then we're just gonna end up having to go all the way down to get the ping pong balls
2) we're guaranteed to get your floor wet
3) it'll just make your party too exciting and make too much noise

All things considered, I'm still psyched about the party. I just hope you feel better, cause I don't think you, me, AND rob can all fit in your bed.

Yeah, I went to the doctor. It's just a sinus infection. I'm on antibiotics and I'll be 100% by Friday (possibly even within the next 48 hours).

Do you really think it's that bad of an idea? I mean, it might be able to fit in the kitchen and if not there I know it'll fit in the hallway in front of the door. Can't I get beer stains out pretty easily? Although I definitely don't want to make my neighbors mad... I suppose I should consider this to be more of a classy event. But I think I'm still going to have sink the biz available...

VALUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUEEEEEE!!!

So, I'm leaning more toward not having beer pong, but if I change my mind, it will be available...

I agree beer pong is probably not the best idea for this event, space and noise is already gonna be an issue, beer pong will probably make it worse. Sink the biz is more mellow, that shouldn't be a problem.
I have the death plague as well, or almost... I'm on the verge of getting something, I can feel myself getting stuffy and the phlegm starting to develop in my throat and I'm way tired. I'm taking zycam cold stuff and drinking fluids like it's my job, so we'll see what happens. I'm still coming no matter what, but hug me at your own risk.

Shit, I didn't know I had the death plague...

I'm going to hug you regardless!
