Justice

So, today I finished jury duty. Have any of you ever served on a jury? It's kind of a painstaking process, but I still recommend that every citizen get the chance to do it at least once. It gave me a better appreciation for the judicial system and yet it made me realize how very flawed it can be. At the same time, I think it's probably one of the best justice systems in the world, however imperfect it might be. What has everyone else been up to?

I had jury duty once. It was in the loop. Where was yours? I remember I brought a book and then we were told we weren't needed after about four hours of sitting around.

I'm also totally free, so whenever anyone wants to hang out, I'm game.

I have a summons sitting on my couch and I haven't opened it yet. It's a bit of a pain that, being in Cook County, I have to go downtown for my Jury duty. Bleh.

Yeah, I was really fortunate. My county courthouse is down the street.
